Film & Performance Evening

World premiere screening of Nick Coutsier's film VOLT, preceded by an exclusive short performance by the artist and followed by a selection of films using performance as content.

Location: performance in the Fumoir and screenings in the Studio.

About VOLT:

VOLT explores the physical language of a body in revolt. The protagonist resists the constraints imposed by a constant fugitivity — an unceasing movement toward self-defined liberation. VOLT is the force that propels the body from instinctive survival to liberated self-expression, where memories of safety and vulnerability merge in the vibrating power of a Black, queer body, whose fluidity of gesture, thought, and emotion flows like an electrifying current, spreading through the space and inviting surrounding bodies toward their own emancipation.

About the artist:

Nick Coutsier is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores the body as a space of resistance, vulnerability, and emancipation. Through movement, he examines the notions of Black fugitivity, queer identity, and freedom, connecting intimate experiences with broader cultural narratives.
